I've had that song running through my head all morning: only instead of the words "Another one bites the dust", it's been, "Another one joins the bunch."
Why??
Because we now have yet another stray to add to our already overflowing bunch!
She appeared last night, while I was out feeding the other furbabies. My s/o saw her, and exclaimed, "Oh! Look at her! She's so pretty! I want that one!!" THIS coming from the same guy who's always saying "no more cats!"
What a goof!
I don't blame him though: she IS beautiful! She's a dark grey striped tabby, with white markings.
I've already named her "Cheyenne", so I might as well resign myself to the fact that some day, she'll be a member of our family, too..
Indigo (aka Stubby) comes first, though - as soon as we can afford to take her into the vet to be tested and all..
So now that makes ??
strays. Let's see: there's Ma & Pa cat, the 4 babies (who aren't really babies anymore), Indigo, Sneakers, & Cheyenne. I'm sure I'm forgetting somebody..
And let's not forget that Ma Cat is pregnant again..
I ought to charge room & board.
We'd be rich by now..
