Am new and happy to be here

Hello everyone. Do you have a passion? Well, I do, my passion is cats. I love cats, think cats and dream cats. I don't own a cat of my own because my partner doesn't like cats but I surely do have photos, posters and a burning passion for cats to keep me going. I came to this forum because I only have to do the things I love, hang out with those that share my passion. We all know the sayings, birds of the same feather flock together and am here to enjoy all about my passion with you guys.

I am currently running a blog for cats. You all know what it means to love something so much that it hurts. The only cat I've ever had for a long time was one I found on the middle of the road when driving to work one day. A small kitten of about three to four weeks old. Well that is another story I will like to share here. I know you guys cat wait to hear it and I can't wait to share it either.

I am glad to be here and I love this place. I know l will make awesome friends and learn so much about cats.

Hello & welcome to tcs. Any chance of changing you bf's mind. I bet if he got to know a kitty, he'd get to love it. Or maybe you could cat sit for someone going on holidays or volunteer at a shelte. I would not be able to live without my kitty & doggy.

Maybe your partner will come around to the idea of a kitty. My DH had a kitty for something like 15 years and loved him but didn't really like other cats too much. He didn't like the idea of a kitten when I first asked for one. But he eventually gave in. Now he loves cats as much as I do. We have 13 cats now, and most of them were HIS idea! LOL.

Thanks for the reply but there was no way I could talk my partner into letting me have a cat. The first time I brought a kitten I picked up from the road home, I heard all sort of stories, complaints and so on. I had to give the kitty away and it hurts like hell. It's like I have to choose between my marriage and a kitty. Well, running a blog for kitties and hanging out in this forum is kind of an outlet to me.

As for voluntering, well, I will love to but Italy is Mars on earth and that is another issue all together.

i like chocolate and ice tea, but passion is a different thing.
It is your life and if you have a strong passion you should not make a compromise if you see the chance of having it.
If your partner does not like it, fine, i am sure he has interest's you also don't like but he probably still do them.
You might want to have a serious word with him, a kitten hardly would kill him and if you take care of your cat then its not like he will have a burden.
i am sure that if you really like to have one, you can get one.
