Hi!

My stepmother is a principal of a school about an hour from where I live. Their secretary resigned a few weeks ago so I've been working there on my day off for a few weeks until they find someone new. While I've been there I've noticed a few flashes of cats but I can't get anywhere near them. Last night I went out to the school for the first time at night and I saw 4 cats... two of them older kittens, two of them adults. I asked my stepmum and she said they live in the drains, but no one can get near them. She said that she puts food out for them every few days.

I just feel horrible that these cats are out there, and that there are so many of them! Is there anything I can do for them, considering they're an hour away from where I live, the RSPCA won't get them and I'm experiencing car troubles and am relying on horrible buses and trains until the end of January?

I live in the No. Va area near DC.
With feral unowned cats, a Trap/Neuter and Release/feed/shelter in place
is the best. Others from Aussie area can help you with this.

check for rescue (not humane society) groups, that do this.

Also, you may want to ask about animal horders in the area - they sometimes take in cats that aren't theirs. Lastly, bless you for caring!
