Vibes needed

Tomorrow morning Connor is having intense dental work. They won't know how bad it is until they start. We had to drop him off tonight b/c of the water/food restriction. Poor boy was so scared.

A few years ago Spunky had 8 teeth pulled and he developed a severe infection afterwards. He didn't eat for 6 months. He is healthy now but we pray that Connor won't go through the samething.


Could you send your TCS vibes to him?

Thanks everyone for the vibes. I am so worried for some reason. Three of our cat had teeth pulled at some point but this time I am really worried. I guess b/c he is 10. So far his sister isn't looking for him. They usually cry when they are separated. I think the drama of catching him has her scared too. He should be in surgery now.

Oh I also brought over a fecal sample from Cello. He has really wet stinky poos for years now. The yogart helps but since I had the opportunity they are checking it out. We should hear about that today too.

Not sure. They do surgeries all day today. I know a little doggie is getting fixed today too. They said we can't pick him up before 4pm though. Hopefully it won't be much longer.

The Vet finally called. He still isn't awake yet so we might have to leave him overnight again

It's unknown how many teeth they pulled. There were 5 teeth mostly whole but with holes in them and then multiple broken teeth (they have no idea how many teeth they made up). His gums are pretty bad and bleeding.

Cello's fecal sample was negative for everything(?). He is next to schedule for a visit.

Can you continue to send vibes until our baby comes home? Thanks for all the vibes.

Lots of vibes continuing to head his way!

It is normal for a cat to take a long time to wake up after being sedated. Especially if they used Ketaset. So please do not worry! Just ask that the vet give him some reversal to wake him up- you could ask that they give him a shot of Yobine. It works pretty well! We use it at the shelter all the time to help the kitties wake up when they're out pretty deep.

Please try not to worry though- i'm sure he'll be ok! His little mouth is going to be really sore when you get him home- just try and keep him comfortable. Ask for a pain medication, like Metacam to help.

If Cello's diarrhea isn't any better soon you may want to ask the vet about giving him some Flagyl. That should help! They can also have a very small dose of imodium- but check with your vet first to make sure it's ok.

When mine have stomach issues- i mix in a pinch of canned pumpkin and some metamucil (sp?) powder in some baked chicken/rice and that always helps! Good luck
