Questions for those who use recycled paper cat litter

I've recently changed from non clumping clay litter to recycled paper litter and I was wondering how to go about using it. It's more expensive and supposed to be better for the environment and hopefully my cats. Before I was scooping the poo every day which I'm still going to do and cleaning the whole tray once a week, more if needed. What I want to know is:

1) How much to use?
2) Do I need to add more every so often (I didn't with the clay litter)?
3) Will it last longer than a week?
4) Do you think it's any good, are you happy with it?
