Well, we've got one more illness to deal with over here--besides the sinus infection, ear infection, and nasty colds (those are just the human illnesses)--my daughter woke up with pink eye. Nice.

We are both on antibiotics and some OTC meds. So I don't think she's too contagious, but she's been on them for less than 24 hours. Anyone have any ideas to keep a 5 year-old's hands off of her eyes? I had one idea, but it involved duct tape, and that's a tiny bit illegal.

Over the river and through the woods...
Oh, poor sweetie! Pink eye is the worst. Only think I can think of is keeping her hands busy with coloring or crafts. Do you have any swimming goggles to cover her eyes so she can't rub them? I don't know if that would be good since the air can't really get to them. Good luck!

(duct tape was my first thought too!

Geez, I need coffee. I just read all the typos in my first post, but they are now corrected.

Any who...She does LOVES to draw, and I think I have a few crafty things to keep her hands busy. I don't have any swim goggles...or do I? I will have to look in the outside playtime bag that I have on hand.

that kinda what came to mind, hmm packing tape? ok bad idea also.
you will just need to find things for her to do, so she does not notice the eye thing, and keep reminding her.

LOL Thanks for the advice so far! She's been busy most of the morning drawing dragons and other crazy creatures and making the crayons talk to each other...she's not a weirdo, she's her mother's daughter...I promise.
