Where in Alaska did you meet? I see you're in OR now. Im down in Juneau.....

Howdy fellow sourdough... I met Mike in Eagle River he had been living in Alaska over 30 years-worked at Alascom. I went up twice to meet him and stay for 2 weeks vacation, once in the summer and once in the wintertime- both times major culture shock! LOL After he proposed I moved up there and we stayed 9 years. I met some incredible people up there, made lasting friends and even sang with the Anchorage Sourdough Sweet Adelines for 3 of those years.

I can only imagine the shock either all sun or almost all darkness and cold *lol*.

Just you moving to the Anchorage area.... I commend you. LOL I hate the Anchorage area. I suppose Wasilla/Palmer wouldn't be too too bad but Eagle Rivers too close LOL. I told my husband I would never EVER move to Anchorage *chuckle*.

Do you enjoy Oregon?? Probably shocked your poor husband LOL.
