Can anyone else not connect to iTunes store?

I've been trying to connect to the iTunes store and it keeps saying "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store" Make sure your connection is active and try again".

I tried both of my laptops and they're both saying the same thing. I transferred my iTunes library from my old laptop to the new laptop, so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it, but I briefly got the store before it locked up again...

Could someone else with the iTunes store mind trying to connect?

I'll try to get on from DH's computer....

Ok I got a message that said: "Could not complete the iTunes Store request. The store may be busy." And it said to check my internet connection or try again later.

hmm sound like itunes has crashed..
just give it a few min.

Hurrah, it's working again! It was done for about an hour.

Actually, I wish I couldn't connect to I-Tunes...considering all the money I've spent there lately!!!

I just got my very first ipod a couple of weeks ago and it came with a free gift card. I downloaded itunes 7.5 (or whatever it is) and have not succeeded as of yet to get into the store. I have tried tweaking every possible network and firewall setting possible, but no luck
