My cat Coco had bladder stone surgery on 11/26. Her food was changed to Hills Prescription Diet C/D. She returned to the vet today for follow up. She was on Amoxil for 5 days and was given 15 days of Baytril, so we are still doing that. The past two mornings, she has vomited undigested food almost immediatly after eating. The vet seemed to think this was due to the change from dry food being available all the time to only having canned food at certain times each day. Tonight she has vomitted twice and had a very soft stool once. She doesn't seem to feel bad, and is even sitting next to me purring right now. Could this vomitting be a side effect to the medicines? I am sure I am just being over protective since she was so sick last week and has been feeling good the last few days. Thanks for the advice.

could be .... but the food change with meds is likely a double reason

Antibiotics dfinitely make them feel ill, but keep a close eye on her eating and drinking habits over the next while, as the anaesthtic can cause kidney damage etc in older cats. I don't want to freak you out or anything, but it happened to my cat and I assumed she was just not eating much as she was sick from the antibiotics until she started crashing from kidney failure.

I hope it's nothing and your cat is better soon!

Did your vet tell you whether her bladder stones were struvite or oxalite?
Since I live in a small town, the stones had to be sent out for analysis. The vet is hoping to have the results by the end of this week.
