It just started flurring a few minutes ago and there is Cello at the door crying. I took pictures of him this weekend licking the railing outside. So I took the gang out back for a bit. Cello was having a ball sticking his tongue out to catch the flakes. Ben was so happy to be outside again that he didn't notice the white stuff at first. He tried to look at the sky but they were beating him in the eye.

Molly & Lucky came out and ran right back in. I had to fight with Ben to get him back inside. Cello had enough after 5 minutes.

Of course this all happened while the camera's battery is charging.

How do your cats react to snow?

Spici loves the snow - she'll play in it & prance around. She gets all full of snow

The older cats like watching the snowflakes fall but other then that, they want nothing to do with the snow. They love their warm house!
We haven't showed our kittens Shilo & Sadee snow just yet. Soon though

None of my current cats have seen snow (well, I'm not sure about Lilly since she is older). Leo is the only one that goes outside, but I have been considering taking them each out at least once to see the snow!

Lil Bit hates snow, but Boo and Anna LOVE it!! They both get out in it, hunker down, and run as fast as they can while swatting at it with their front paws.
It's hilarious to watch!
They look like mini snow plows!

Sounds like you will find out tomorrow.

I've never taken my boys outside in the snow, but I want to this year, I don't know how they would react, but now I'm curious!

I think its so cute when kitties like the snow!

Okay, so I live in the SF Bay area now and we only get snow at certain elevations but I grew up in NY, went to grad school at Michigan and lived in Boston for a short time so I am well acquainted with the white stuff. Butzie is a native Californian. Yesterday, we got some much needed rain and she was so unhappy. She watched the outside but go outside - HA! You would have thought she was the wicked witch of the west - I'm melting!

You went to grad school at Michigan? Cool! Yes, we get a lot of cold and snow here - I think it has something to do with being surrounded by sweet water!

Well, I decided this morning to let the kitties experience snow. I took everyone out except for Spooky Bear and Lilly, and managed to get pictures of each as well which I'll post over in the pictures forum in a little while. They did pretty well for the most part, mostly just not sure what to think about it. Tabitha, Spike, Sofia, Roxy, Garfield and Lt. Bear all tried to run from it, lol. Taco, Woodward, and Captain Squishy did very well, especially Taco who just wanted to explore!

This is too cute! It's snowing heavily now and Benson was at the back door which is closed and is trying to catch the snowflakes. Of course the second I grab the camera he stops. LoL
