Can you believe this? I bought a computer on Fri night. The amount was debited from my account twice. The store is saying the bank has the money. The bank is saying the store has the money.

its the STORE'S fault. Their company double charged your account. you have to talk to the cash office of the store you bought it from, so they can refund your money.

Dispute the double charge at your bank. Bring your receipt with you of purchase and any names of who you talked to from the store and when.

Thank you everybody.
It is resolved, but I have to say I was freaking out in the meantime.

The store insisted that they were only paid once. The bank (actually a credit union) insisted that the store collected twice. The CU told me to dispute it online, but it might take awhile. I cannot afford that. Other stuff would be bouncing all over the place! I was calling both parties back and forth - very frustrating.

We are going through some tough times financially, but we are very rich in other ways - love.
The financial part can be stressful though. 1st, my husband lost his health insurance at work, then his hours were cut. These changes were company wide, nothing to do with him personally. He needs insurance, so I put him on mine at work. Its expensive to pay 100%. Then he broke his kneecap! Thank God we had insurance!!! Co-pays are $50 each time - hard to afford.

I figured I could work part time at home after work to help compensite for my DH being out of work. I need a computer for that. Thats why I was getting the computer in the 1st place.

Anyway - the money is back now. Thank you all for your help, prayers and knid thoughts.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I am glad they were able to credit your account so quickly.

It's obviously gotta be the store's fault, hopefully they'll sort it out soon. I would be very upset to get double charged on a pricey item like that.
