This month we are doing animated/holiday movies!

I'm excited, because I get to show DH some of the movies I loved as a kid, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and he gets to show me his, Willow.

Any suggestions would be wonderful!

Does it have to be an animated Christmas movie or is the category animated and Christmas? I'm confused.

It doesn't have to be about Christmas, but there will be a lot of Christmas movies going on.

1. Pixar Short Films Collection, Volume 1 (2007)
http://www.ultimatedisney.com/pixarshorts-vol1.html

This DVD collection includes the most famous Pixar short films. The audience gets to take a journey from the beginning with The Adventures of Andre & Wally B (1984) to the end Lifted (2007). Along the way we see just how far Pixar has come with it's animation style and techniques.

In a way I feel this DVD set is worth it just for the short film Lifted (2007). Originally played in front of Ratatouille (2007) I feel that this is one of the best short animations to ever come out of the Pixar studios. This set is also with it because it's less than an hour long, so all of those out there with little ones this DVD should be able to keep their interest.

LOVE LOVE LOVE "The Last Unicorn"!!!! My daughter loves it, too!

How about the "He-Man & She-Ra Christmas Special"? I had forgotten about this one until I had bought a She-Ra DVD collection off of Ebay.

We watched the classic claymation movies growing up. We also watched the Indiana Jones Trilogy--which was my favorite!

When I was a kid, the local public station always played animated movies (in French) before Christmas. My absolute favorites were always the Asterix movies. If you can get your hands on it, I would especially recommend "The 12 works of Asterix" (I think that's the correct translation. In French it was "Les 12 traveaux d'Asterix). Or any of the old animated Asterix movies (from the late 60s / early 70s). They might loose something in translation, but should still be worth watching.
