Well, the tree has been up for 3 hours and so far so good!

I'm amazed! The last time we had a real tree was 3 year ago when Harley, Monster and Little One were still kittens and they DESTROYED it! We brought it up from the basement tonight and it's been sitting in the corner for over 3 hours and so far no one has jumped on, climbed up, or leaped from it. All they have done really is sniff at it. (Harley actually slept through the whole thing and hasn't even realized it is up!). I was mainly worried about the 3 younger ones (Gizmo, Corky and Missy). Giz and Corky smelled it and walked away. Missy was cute though...she wasn't sure what it was and creeped up to it with her stub tail down between her legs. After she batted at it a few times and realized it wasn't going to attack her, she sniffed for a while then wandered off.

Now, I wonder if they are just waiting for us to go to bed before they REALLY start exploring!

It doesn't help the we had to rearrange the furniture to put the tree in the corner, but I think that is messing with the dogs more than the cats right now.

It should be interesting! Especially after we start putting on the decorations!

Glad to hear it's going well for you. I'm getting my tree on Wednesday, and i'm dreading it. Bean is such a little terror, I'm sure no ornament of the tree is going to be safe from his playtime wrath.

Yeah, Charlie has really surprised us - he's not bothered the tree other then a few decorations on the floor. He got scolded for biting the lights (unplugged) and been squirted with water twice for touching the tree.

He normally sleeps in bed with us most of the nite.

Oci's are totally unpredictable !
