It is with a heavy heart....

I must tell you that the kitty I rescued awhile back has passed to the Bridge last Thursday. He had a stroke, and went very quickly. I was not home, but SO was there with him, so he was not alone, but in a warm bed, being petted with a loving hand. I knew it was inevitable, so I always said my goodbyes before I left to go to work. We had sworn we were no going to get attatched, but you know how that goes. He was a sweet guy and smart as could be. He is happy and whole again at the Bridge. We miss you, Okey.

Oh, I am so sorry! ...and you can swear you're not going to get attached all you want - but it never does any good. I'm sure there's some comfort in knowing he went quickly and painlessly. But it'll still take time for your heart to heal.

I am so sorry to hear this, but at least he went loved, and it doesn't matter how little time we have had them, they still get into our hearts. RIP little one.
