I buy these about 2" mice for the kitties to play with, they absolutely love them. O.K....I give one and within a couple of hours they are missing. The next day I give another, it goes missing. I swear there are about 10 of them somewhere around my house (kitties are strickly indoor) that are missing. I have searched this house upside down looking for them (I am one of those people that can't stand it when something goes missing). Here is the weird part.....the first one they ever got (about a month ago) came from the Vet's office that he gave to Baloo. He and Callie played with it forever, thats why I bought more of them, but the ones I bought were different colors. Now the one the Vet game them is still here and they still play with it, but the ones I give them, they play with then go missing.
I swear I have moved out the refridgerator, under and in couches and chairs, under beds, in litter boxes....everywhere.
WHERE ARE THEY????????

Watching the robins sing!
I know what you mean - I buy them in bulk (really) because they disappear so quickly. I put a new one down and immediately one of the kids goes trotting by with it in their mouth and that is the last I will see of it - until it turns up in a bureau drawer, in a shoe or slipper, in their toy box (Wow! Why would I ever look there?) under the edge of a rug, in the guest bedroom - huh? that door is closed!!! I was wrapping up a bunch for my SS giftee and Cosmo was trying to pilpher from the gift bag! Selfish kitty!

Most of the mice that I give the kitties have disappeared within 5 minutes. I usually find them under the dressers when I clean.

Good idea about the kids!!!!

I have the same problem as you. They have about 1 out of 8 mice they won't loose and do a great job of loosing the rest
When we moved out of our apartment I found a lot of them, but still not all.

Here are some hidding spots:
Old shoes you almost never wear
Boxes of any type
Flower vases (who knows)
In any decor, for example fake plants, stuffed toys, whatever.

I wish I could tell you because I have dozens of missing furry red mice hiding around here somewhere too!
