Red hardly touched his food today. Is this something that happens with cats occasionally? I haven't changed his food at all. I have some wet food that I use as an occasional treat, and he ate that up, but won't touch his dry stuff.

I mean, it's only been one day, so I don't imagine it's that big of a deal. He's still active and playful, and is drinking ok. There's no feces in the litter box tonight, but there is a couple clumps of urine.

See how he is tomorrow. If you find he still isn't eating, I suggest you check with the Vet. Good luck.

Just make sure he absolutely goes no more than 24 hours without eating. That is vital. Watch him closely as it only takes 12-24 hours for fatty liver disease to set in.

Perhaps he's bored with his food?
I get sample bags from the pet store or buy a 3 lb bag of something different....and I periodically mix a bit of that in with the normal dry.
