I Was wondering how they interact with the adult cats? Just wondering the age of ur kitten and how it acts with the adults as far as play fighting & hierarchy

are they at the bottom of hierarchy or are they dominant over some cats ? like they chase and harass some of the adults? lol

I currently have eight cats under 1 year old, and five over 1 year old. I have two female kittens who are 6 months old and they are very much dominant over all of the other cats, including the adults.

My kitten seems dominant over the cat, yet they play. When the kitten comes to eat the cat's food, the kitten usually lets him unless someone intervenes. Could the kitten know that I am typing about him? He just came to me and looks so innocent.

Mine are still working things out. Mattie is about 1 year old and I've had her longer than Chloe, who is almost 4 months old.

Mattie is very timid and likes to be left alone. She'll let Chloe sleep in the same room but if she gets too close she'll hiss at her or swat at her, or Mattie will just leave. Chloe tries playing with Mattie and Mattie sometimes plays back but I am not sure how much of it is truly playing and how much is them actually fighting. Chloe is a little bit afraid of Mattie because of the hissing but she still pushes boundaries. Mattie is 3x the size of Chloe but is much more shy.

The seven month old kitten has reached the point where he pretty much leaves the shy 11 year old alone, except when he gets really rowdy. But it's not dominance. He wants to play. Mr. Bond plays with him, why won't Puffy?

The kitten will steal food from the older cat's bowls, and they will let him, because they know he's just a numskull. They would protest if it were an older cat, when it's far more a breech of manners.

Yet Mr. Bond can get the kitten to change his trajectory in mid air, so he can easily influence the kitten if he wants to.

Both of my girls are 8.5 mo old sisters. Marble doesn't really like any other animals (cat or dog) and will hiss if they get too close too fast. Sometimes she will tolerate sniffing noses or playing boo, but not really.

Mia on the otherhand has the hots for one of my mom's cats, a pure white boy. She likes to flirt with him by rolling around near him and trying to play with his tail and was sad when he swatted and hissed at her! She is good with our other psycho torbie. She will play boo with her often and tries to go up to her to sniff noses and but gets hissed at a lot (and looks sad) too.
