Are you familiar with this saying?

Its something that is said a lot here in the UK.
Pinch punch first of the month no return tickets. Which means being the first day of the month you can go up to someone, best someone you know and pinch and punch them, but they are not allowed to do it back to you. How hard you do this is entirely up to you its a case of how well they will take it

Oh my goodness, nope, never heard of it. We only have Saint Patric's Day around here, that's when you get pinched if your not wearing something green.

I heard of it! My Canadian hubby didn't know what I was doing the first time I did it to him though!

We usually say "A NIP AND A PUNCH FOR THE FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH". Then the other person says "A NIP AND A KICK FOR BEING SO QUICK!!"

My dad lived in England for a long time so if it wasn't for him, I never would have heard of it. But it's tradition in my family
