I knew Seamus loved plastic bags, but today his love bit him in the bottom. I never leave them out once I empty them, but I laid a plastic bag near the litterbox just now so in five minutes after I was done getting ready I could scoop his box. Silly boy thought it was a toy and got into it and started rustling around. Then he startled himself rustling around and got caught in the handle and ran up and down the house like a maniac trying to get out of it, then settled in his safe spot under the bed... so there I go, off chasing him, the bag is sticking out from under the bed, I yank, got most of it, then maniac mode again... I had to catch the quick little bugger and get the rest off...

Learned my lesson, and so did he... literally put it down for a minute and he got himself in a mess!

lol, Trinity has done that before. I was sitting on the couch watching TV and Matt had just come in with the groceries. When he emptied out one of the bags, I guess Trinity decided it was a fun toy. The only problem is, she got the handle stuck around her and I guess it startled her because she took off around the house. It actually took me a second to figure out what was going on because all I could see was a plastic bag racing around the house.

Many years ago we had an incident with a plastic bag. It was after midnight and we were all asleep. Lucky was laying on the bed with me when all of a sudden we see this white blob flying in the air. "It" landed on top of us but thankfully I pulled the sheets to protect us. One of the 6 kitties found a bag, jumped on my corner shelf and flew in the air. When this kitty jumped in the air my shelf came crashing down. Mom ran into my room thinking someone broke in. All I could say was "cat in the bag" "choking". We still laugh about it.

We found the bag ripped to pieces in the living room. Now on the bags remain in drawers or closets.

Glad I'm not the only one
But literally one minute of putting the bag down to do something else and madness struck! I guess that's just the joys of having a cat!

I got the same problem here. Stuart really likes plastic bags. I also do what I can to never leave them where he can get them. However, like every cat the minute I leave it out he's in it. Next thing I know he's shooting across the house. Luckily he ran and jumped on me and I got it off. He just layed there breathing hard.

Sash loves to play or sleep on plastic bags. I always cut off the handles though and he's never left alone with it or when I go out I take it away, this way he get's to enjoy his baggie and I don't have to worry.

Blossom's had a fascination with plastic bags since she was a baby. When she was about 2 mths old, hubby & I went away on a weeks holiday & left her in the care of 2 adult sons. I drilled into them to make sure they took good care of her. One of the rules, don't leave plastic bags in her room with her when you go to work.
