Levi - Week 10!

Levi has been here for 10 weeks now. He's coming along so well. I've been able to lean across his back, and I really think he's close to being ready to ride... but I'm not going to even try until he's where he should be with his weight. Here are a few pictures from today... John bought me a pretty new halter for Levi for my birthday. I think it looks much better than the ratty old red one that came with him when we brought him home.

Love the pictures! I had an appy for a short time. Sadly he had a heart problem but I just loved him for the few months I had him. Got him at a meat market. He had blue eyes. I love how your horse is putting his ears forward. He must really trust you. Most horses wonder what the heck you are doing when you point a camera at them. Can't wait to see what he looks like this summer after he is fattened up a bit. Do you ride western or English? I have two Quarter horses now. One is a paint. I don't ride often as I have a four year old. Can't wait till she is a little older. I have been looking for a great pony but they are rare and hard to find.
