Eric's granny, Ernie, is in Stage IV cancer and is not expected to make it past the holidays. She is 80 and a fighter....she is a rancher woman of 50 years who was a Cat Lady in her own right....sheltering more than 47 cats on her ranch in Medford and feeding/caring for them as they would let her for many years.

One of the kitties that went with her to her new home is Boots. Boots is a shorthair black/white paws/amber eyes senior gal of about 9 or 10 with a very quiet personality and extremely low-maintnenace. Boots likes Ernie's closet and rarely comes out during the day. She is litter-box trained and strong as a rock. Never a problem, just needs shelter - a little skittish of loud or quick noises. Boots would do well in a home with a senior person who likes quiet companionship, or a single, more quiet person without other cats, dogs or children, or a couple w/no other pets or kids. Boots has no teeth. She can go outside in a fenced yard and will come back, but doesn't have to be outside. She is smart, and she is quiet.

If there is anybody reading this in Oregon who can help re-home, I will provide transport if needed and money for primary care/food for the first year.

Please send PM.

Thanks! No help so far. We do have a little bit of time, but it's hard from so far away.
