As I mentioned, I've been helping out at this little shelter that's at the moment overstuffed with cats. Normal state of affairs for a no-kill; but the owner is just torn that she has to turn animals away.

Anyway, she has got her cats on PetFinder; but I was wondering whether there are other reputable sites that perform the same function, so that we could get more exposure. They're sweet cats, and they deserve to be in a place where they can have a human all to their own.

She told me that she heard a rumor of a central site that could place ads on multiple pet-finder sites; if anyone's heard of anything like that, that would be great. Also, just any other site that would put up ads so we could find a home for these cats.

(And if anybody here has room for a cat, the adoption fee's just $60... and they really are lovely cats.)

Callista: Petsmart and Petco have anything going? Also try with other local rescues? Also, signs and/or adoption events at feed stores and the like?

I am not sure about your part of the country v. s up here, so just a few suggestions...

create your own website? Post on other animal sites?

Freecycle (though these cats are NOT free!!)

Craigslist (use caution!!)

hum, not sure of other ideas - blogs perhaps??

Local papers? flyers?
