A Book Worth Reading

I am currently reading a cook called "The Lucifer Effect." It's a study of how good people turn evil and commit unspeakable acts.

I was a bit leary about it as I don't really take to psycho babble and I admit the first chapter of the book is really heavy in psychology, but the second chapter when it gets to the actual study, it's quite facinating and really draws you in.

It seems to be a popular book because I put in a request for it at the library 7 months ago and finally just got to the top of the list last week.

This was quite the good book. It even included a deep psychological look at what happened with those prisoners at Abu Ghraib Prison, and included an interview with one of the soldiers involved.

It was quite interesting to see that the events of Abu Ghraib Prison nearly duplicated the results of Dr. Zimbardo's prison experiment from back in 1972.
