Astroturf mat working for me

I recently threw out the mat in front of our Litter Robot and replaced it with one of those Astroturf door mats which look like artificial grass.

I got some funny looks, but everyone walked on it right away, and it works great for the litter scatter!

You can't tell the mat is full of litter by looking at it, because all the litter drops down through the grass "leaves," but when I shake it out there's a bunch.

It does a wonderful job making the area look tidy. I didn't have a problem with the cats tracking litter on their paws, that's why I'm a fan of mats, but this is the best solution yet.

I'm going to look for one of these. I'm so tired of vacumming after these little devils. I find litter in the grooves of my end tables, and the final straw was litter in my bed. I do have a mat in front of their box but the litter still sticks to their paws. I'm using Tidy cats blue or red and mix with special kitty from wal-mart. Thanks for the tip.
