granny smith apples, hot from the oven.

I'm so wishing I had some vanilla ice cream to go with.

They were so easy to make though, which means I'll be doing this again....with ice cream next time!

You can bake apples in the oven?
How do you do it? (I'm curious now & want to try)

LOL Nat.

I washed my apples, quartered them and removed the core and seeds.
in a small bowl, I mixed ground cinnamin and brown sugar (I did the mix to taste).
I placed 3/4 of an apple in foil, put three tablespoons of the sugar/cinnamin mixture in it and 1 Tblsp of butter, added the last apple quarter and rolled the ball up tight.

I put them in a baking dish in a 375 oven and cooked them until they started getting soft.
No real time limit since some apples don't cook as fast as others.

Mmmm that does sound good. I sauteed them once, not as good as sauteing bananas in brown sugar and butter!!!! You should do that

That sounds sooooooo delicious. I love hot apples and vanilla ice cream.

You can also add oatmeal and more butter and lay the apples flat in a pan and spread the oatmeal mixture over it for a crispy topping.
