Sassy La Rue is 2 1/2 calico/torty mixed up cat. We know she's sick and is a special needs cat but we'd also like to expand our family. She needs a couple more siblings.

Everytime we've tried to introduce her to some kittens she goes all diva on us and hisses at them. What's the proper way to bring wee ones into our family?

Ummm, Ive probably beed doing it wrong my whole life because Ive heard to introduce them slowly, but I always just put them together while I was there and watched to make sure they didn't kill each other. After a while they just kinda got fond of each other!

honestly I do the same thing. My crew has gotten so used to fosters coming through that there isn't even a hiss now, but I would always just throw them out there and observe. I never left them unattended, but as long as the big cat wasn't trying to kill the little cat, I considered that a relative success.

I threw Farley and Ana in with Demetri too. They didn't hiss at all and got along right from the start, but some hissing is completely normal so don't worry if Sassy hisses.
