Guess what I'm partial to? Hint: look at my siggie.
SO the real name for them is red and not orange?
Jim is going to love that he has kisses coming

I'm partial to gray. Any gray animal actually. Right now I have 3 solid gray cats, one gray stripe cat, a gray rabbit and a gray duck. Someday I would like a gray dog and a gray horse!
Yup, I'm obsessed with gray!

My hubby wanted an orange long haired kitty and that is why our newest little one is a LH orange. We waited until the perfect little orange kitty came available. I don't think it's wrong to want a particular color.

I've never meant a cat that I didn't like, but I do have a love of orange cats, white cats and Torties.

Right now we have one of each, Gracie is orange, Elliott is white and Annabelle is a tortie.

i don't think it's wrong to want a certain color at all! we've had black and white girls, a dark gray tabby and a light gray tabby. damian, my long hair orange and white (the white is his fluffy belly) just came upon us but we have always wanted an orange kitty. when looking for a second we were specifically looking for an orange boy, and now that we are thinking of a third, we are specifically looking for a gray girl. i guess i'm partial to tabby markings.

Those are my favorites, but I do love all cats. I have a black and white, two greys and a calico now

I don't really know! lol I like all cats.

Matilda is solid white with grey ears and a gray tail, Chloe is a dilute calico (or a dilute tortie?) with a white chest and white toes. Both have super long hair. I loooove long haired fluffy kitties.

I love cats with Matilda's coloring...mostly white with a bit of grey. Solid grey cats are pretty too.

Growing up, we had a grey tabby cat. I always thought she was really pretty.

We were out looking for a cat for my daughter. She wants a longhaired Calico, preferably 2-3 years old. Amazingly hard to find right now.

My mother went with us. She fell in love with all of the black cats.
My duaghter has picked out 3 kittens - who were turned yesterday and won't be availabe until next week.
I love them all, but I love the big, longhaired ones best. I have a DSH, tortie.

I fall in love with the kitty I am looking at.

Tabbies were always my favorites but now I love Dexter and Sadie's colors Tabicos with vivid orange blotches amaze me, Calicos can be stunning, White kitties, Black kitties, Green kitties, all the colors of the rainbow kitties....

Your heart will let you know when the right kitty comes along.

All cats are great but I seem to have a soft spot for the greys, or grey/whites, all different shades. Sassy and Pixie are both dark grey and white. Pixie's grey is just a tad darker.
Linus is all grey, even his nose and the pads of his feet.

I really like Torties, I'm sure one is in my future somewhere.

My first cat, Callie, was a muted calico, grey, tan and white, nice color and sweet kitty.

Tabbies and points are my favorites....right now.

I don't think it's "wrong" of you to want a specific color cat, but I'd be more apt to choose a cat who really needed a home - instead of choosing according to color. As you say, you could possibly miss out on the chance of a truly great cat, if you choose one just b/c of its' color..

I love ALL cats
, but I've always been partial to all-black
or all-white
cats.
I also have a thing for Himilayans (sp?)
I never choose a cat according to their color, though: I always chose them based on how I feel towards them..

Well, Raven's new friend is NOT orange lol. He needed a home though, no mama, 6 weeks old, and living in a garage. He is a white and black and greay tabby.
Edited to add, I don't think he would have survived the whole winter. I wish I could have taken the whole litter!
