Going to the vet

Popsie's going today at 11 to find out why he's not eating much. I'm so terrified of bad news. I'll let everyone know what I find out.

Hope it's more behavioral related than physical,what age is Popsie?

UGGGGG!!! The vet said it feels like he has poo stuck way up in the colon. They're going to give him another enema. He already takes two doses of lactulose a day. I don't get why he's still getting stopped up. Well, it's better news than I was prepared for. To answer MowWuck, he's 16 and a half.

That's good news, though. (I feel like I should make a poo joke but i can't think of one.) So glad to hear he's otherwise ok!

I thought that maybe his name should be poopsie instead of popsie.

luvmycat1 - I'm glad you didn't get bad news. I hope things get moving for your kitty.

I went and got him at 3:00 so he's home but he isn't speaking to me. The vet didn't really give me any new advice but I think I'm going to start giving him pumpkin on top of his lactulose and wet food. Other than that I guess there's not much else I can do.

I'm glad it's "just poop"!

The vet said if Popsie isn't eating by Friday still to give them a call. He's eating better than he was but not like he used to before all this. Should I call tomorrow or not?

I would call to update & ask them if you should bring Popsie in again or what they think.
