I know I don't usually post much, but I hope you might find my latest post in my blog interesting. We spent the day in Jerusalem and took some pics which I think are nice. You get to see me and the city too

I love the new/old that that city has to offer. One can be walking past a place that is over 1000 years old chatting on an I-Phone. How wonderful is that?

Wonderful pictures Anne. I'd love to visit Israel. My Jewish ex-boyfriend (now good friend) keeps inviting me but I'm afraid my husband just wouldn't understand.

That's amazing, since it's Google's Blogger network which doesn't allow anything adult in nature. I bet you could find lots of that in the system (they take it out if reported), but I would tell that system admin that blocking out blogspot/blogger is a bit too restrictive...

Try 3000 years or more
And you know, that's not too old by local standards either. We were hiking a few miles from home a few weeks ago, and came across a new excavation site right here. The sign said it was a 6000 years old settlement. We went inside and leaned against the walls, pretty cool to think they were laid down by our forefathers 6000 years ago! It's not a huge deal here though, the whole place wasn't even fenced in somehow. The oldest settlement we have here is 9000 years old and that's Megiddo (aka Armageddon in the Bible). It's about 40 minutes away from where I live.

I've never thought to visit Jerusalem, but those pictures are really great!
9000 years...that's unfathomable that still exists! Amazing!

Anne, so totally awesome, and thanks for giving us here a chance at being a part of a wonderful trip! They build nothing here that would ever last 6000 yrs let alone 9000! The Mosque, is really cool, the way it glows! And the beautiful scenery surrounding! I'm jealous! I did leave a comment on your
blog! hopefully you'll approve it! Thanks again for sharing! This is the part of belonging here that is so great!! I actually know people who live in different
parts of the world!! I love that!
Take Care and until the next time!

Will you be there in 2008? Next marks the 60th anniversary of Israel...the tourist industry is heavily advertising them.
