I have decided that I DO want another cat, a friend for Raven. I have told my husband that I want another kitten for Christmas. I think that Raven would do well with a friend and I think that it will just add even more love to our household.
I was also thinking about names. I hope to get a boy kitten this time. I was thinking about Raven and I named her that because she is a beautiful black cat. So I was thinking that maybe I will go along the lines of another "bird" name, maybe Sparrow?
I saw a kitten yesterday that I loved loved loved a longhaired (looked longhaired anyway) that was so adorable. He/she was a tabby both orange and grey. Very cute. But he/she was in a petstore. I would have named that kitten Owl lol.
Anyway, hopefully my Christmas present will be small, furry, and meow!

Thats exciting that you may be getting a purr present

Hopefully Raven is going to get along with your new kitten

Thats a good idea to name your next kitty after a bird too!
You'll have to tell us all about your new kitten, don't forget photos too!

Oh, how exciting! What a purrfect gift.

I'm trying to think up some bird names for you, here are a couple:
Finch <- I think it sounds cute!

Jay (short for Blue Jay) <- Nice name for a boy.

Aw! A little Sparrow name would be adorable! But what if he turns out to be a huge 30 lb cat? So much for a 'little' Sparrow.

Let's see, here's some other common bird names;
Nightingale
Pewee

Pigeon
Robin (Robin Hood!)
Wren
Catbird (Galeoscoptes carolinensis, who knew?)

Cardinal

Yay, a new kitty!!!
Very cute idea about the name. Are you truly waiting until Christmas to look for your new furball, or are you keeping your eyes open now?

Here and there
You should name him Robin! As in "Boy Wonder"!

We had a cat named Robin once, but that was 24 years ago when I was a baby. I don't remember her.
