Hello everybody!
I've been lurking here for a little bit but finally decided to join. I'm not going to give you my life story, because you'll find it in another forum (Cat Behaviour - Miserable cat with aggression issues)... I think I posted a bit much there. It's pretty long, so read it if you dare!

I belong to 2 gorgeous cats, Memphis and Tobi, and a little dog called Pascal.
I live in Brisbane, Australia and am studying Animal Care.
I'm an aspiring Dog Rehabilitator for the SPCA but I'm in LOVE with cats and I'd love to rescue and handraise abandoned cats.

I'm 17 years old, but I'm old for my age.

Nice to meet you!

Welcome to TCS!

I want to study animal care when I leave school in around 8 months
I'm just preying that the college will accept me

Don't forget to post some pictures of your kitties!

Everyone on this forum is so lovely! It's so refreshing! I'm on a million other forums and it's so interesting to see the different sorts of people who join different sorts of groups.

lauracatlover, there are some fantastic schools in Australia that offer good animal care courses, so I didn't have to worry about university accepting me. (I'm awaiting my HOPEFULLY acceptance letter into interior design at uni!) I'm doing a distance education course at the moment (So that I can work full time and earn money to support my many expensive hobbies) because I didn't do any science or math in school, so I wouldn't have met the prerequisites for university. Once I finish my distance education course I will apply for university and hopefully have a much better chance of getting in. I'm always chopping and changing when it comes to study though. I have a passion for design and would love to be an interior designer or architect, but then I know that I couldn't live my life without caring for animals!

If only I was rich and I could look after animals all my life and just live in a house I designed for myself... That'd be somewhat ideal!

I'll post some pictures of my darling Memphis. The pics are from quite a while ago, when he was still a bit of a kitten. My sister hogs the camera, so whenever we have an opportunity I can never get a pic!
Tobi HATES the camera so we can never get a decent photo of him.
And Pascal is still very much a puppy in this pic, but it's cute all the same. Enjoy!

and for good measure,

Both of these boys have grown so much since these pics, but they're both just so cute.
Good thing Tobi doesn't read this forum, he'd feel left out. Although maybe then he'd let me take some photos of him!

Awww, just look at your sweetie pies.

Memphis is gorgeous and Pascal is a real cutie.
Come on Tobi...
let's have a picture of you.

Thanks for sharing their pictures with us.

Thanks! They are big cuties, hey? This has inspired me. When I go to bed tonight (which should be soon, seeing as how it's 12.30am here) I'm going to sneak into my little sister's room, steal the camera, and go searching for Tobi.
It'll take a while... But I'll find him. And when I do, I'll be ready!

I thought I should show you all Jayjay. She died earlier this year at the age of 16 or 17, but for a while I don't think she had a clue what was going on around her. The thing is though, it was just hilarious, because it didn't seem to bother her at all. She was just happy all the time! It's nice she had a good end to her long life.

Hello & welcome from Sydney. Your furkids are real cuties. I'm rather a dog person & would love to do a distance course in dog training. Any thoughts on a good safe institution?

Yes! I'm about to start one in dog training too. Google search Thomson Education Direct. It's Australia wide and there's a support forum for students which guests can access too so you can see that it's a good school.
