Hello all. This is my first post in a long time and I hope you will forgive me.
My oldest (11 yrs) and youngest (9-10 wks) kitties both have upper respiratory infections due to an unknown source. The elder, Meeker, started coughing and having runny eyes so I took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with a mild URI and given meds. Then my kitten started doing the same thing and when we took him in they said his was really severe! He was given the same meds, Terramycin for the eyes and oral Clavamox and seems to be doing much better. I was just wondering if anybody knows what the chances are of it being feline herpes or the other infectious disease (i'm sorry I don't remember what it's called)? The kitten, Tempyst, was found at a Tesoro station during a big storm we had several weeks back and was taken to my work by a kind-hearted lady and I took him in after a clean bill of health. Is it possible he got a cold during the storm and it just turned into an URI later?
Please keep my kitties in your thoughts and prayers as they fight off this nasty illness.
