What is everyone having for Thanksgiving this year?

I'm having my usual menu -

onion dip
spinach & artichoke dip
cheeses and crackers
cheese spreads
lentil & sausage soup
turkey & gravy
Portuguese chourico stuffing
French meat stuffing
mashed potatoes
potato & cheese casserole
cranberry sauce - fresh and canned
various vegetables
corn bread and rolls
5 different types of cookies and brownies
blueberry cake
lemon meringue pie
apple pie

Anyone have any good recipes they want to share?

Do you cook all that? OMG! Our meal is so humble compared to your feast!

fruit salad with sour cream & honey dressing
chips and salsa (imported from New Mexico!)
wine
turkey, hopefully not too overcooked
gravy
some new experimental stuffing recipe
cranberry sauce
green bean casserole
mashed potatoes
sweet potatoes
corn
pumpkin pie with whipped cream

How do you make the sour cream and honey dressing?

I do make most of it, except for the vegetables and some of the desserts. I only make a huge meal like this for my family once a year. I am always glad when it is over with.

So far we have on the menu:

Turkey (with recipe I borrowed from Rachael Ray's web site)
Stuffing (borrowed from his sister)
Apple and Onion Stuffin' Muffins (another Rachael Ray)
Corn
Real Mashed Potatoes
Pumpkin Pie
Apple Pie
Whipped Cream (for the pies...dirty minds)

it's just two of us this year.

We are finishing deciding this weekend, but so far

apple brined then smoked turkey
probably a cornbread/sausage stuffing - will be a new recipe
homemade cranberry relish
mashed hubbard squash
mashed potatoes and gravy (probably a mix of yukon gold and skin on red potatoes)
scalloped oyster casserole
crescent rolls
pumpkin pie (Paula Dean recipe)
maybe a cranberry wine (WA state)

not sure what else yet

I have no idea.
Except for the broccoli caserole I have to make - and have no idea how to make. We are going to my families this year (first time in almost 20 years we won't be with his).

AbbysMom is the French meat stuffing made with ground pork and/or hamburger? My DH's Grandmother makes that every year.

We're having a pre-Thanksgiving tonight! I'm doing cheese and crackers for appetizers, a potato bake and roast vegetables.

I'll let you know tomorrow what everyone else brought

We are doing

Turkey
Stove Top Stuffing (my DHs favorite)
Mashed Potatoes
Gravey
Maple Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Cranberries and Wheat Nuts(pecans for those not allergic to nuts)
Green Bean Casserole
Green Pea and Bacon Salad
Dinner Rolls
Grean Salad with a light vinigrett
Jellied Cranberry Sauce(my favorite)
Wine
Pumpkin Pie with Whipped Cream

Has anyone ever used white wine in the bottom of the roasting pan with the turkey. Martha Stewart was talking with Emeril a few days ago and he suggested wine but did not say what kind. He did say about a cup so that much I know. What would be best? A dry like a Sauvignon Blank or sweet like Chardinay? I know I will be using a bit of chicken broth but wanted to try a bit of wine to for the flavor.

It's pretty simple around my house as there are only 3 of us.

turkey
stuffing
gravy
homemade mashed potatoes (the one time of the year I don't buy instant)

green beans cooked with chopped onions, mushrooms, garlic and topped with fried onions
biscuits
Pumpkin pie, with whipped cream
Apple pie

Sometimes we get a veggie tray but I'm not sure if we'll that this year.

Whatever my daughter is making!
She is making dinner in the first home she just bought. She wants to do it all herself and is very excited about it! It's a first for all of us and I just know it's going to be awesome. I'm so proud of her!

Ohhh...I would LOVE to have the receipe for the broccoli casserole! That sounds so much better than a green bean casserole.

My sister is making Thanksgiving dinner, so I'm not sure what we're having except that for some strange reason we're having pork instead of turkey!
. Pork is NOT one of my favorite meats!

I would love to try the wine in the bottom of the pan, but I know my husband won't go for that.
I did get a flavor injector this year and plan on implanting melted and herb seasoned butter into the bird.
Maybe I'll throw a little Reisling in there too, just because...

Stuffing
Earl's mother is making this. He says it's the best.

Scalloped Corn
New recipe from Paula Deen's The Lady and Sons cookbook. Looks delish!

Mashed Potatos
Yams
Asparagus
Gravy
Rolls
Pumpkin Pie
Cheesecake

Some really, REALLY good German Riesling to go with dinner. We may have the cheaper stuff before dinner, and that's what I would use to flavor the bird, if I decide to do it.
