Now that the weather has cooled down, my 75% white cat loves to roll in the dirt. I need to either 1) stop it (which I don't think can happen), 2) clean him easily (he's pretty clean by the next am except for his neck area) and/or 3) prevent him from getting dirty in the first place (I use ShowSheen (silicone) on my horses to repel dirt but it may be harmful to cats because of licking). He looks like a stray. It's embarrassing! Any suggestions?

That is a natural insinct for a cat, it isn't something you can stop unless you keep the kitty indoors. Otherwise, wipe down with a damp cloth reglarly, I guess.

ALL cats love to roll in the dirt - especially after you've cleaned them up!
There isn't much you can do about it, besides keeping them indoors..

My little Sal is a semi longhair kitten (ragdoll) with patches of white and he loves to eat dust and roll in whatever dirty corner he can find. When I find the odd sitcky patch in his fur, I use cat wipes (very similar tobaby wipes). I have cleaned poop messes stuck to his behind (usually right before cat loving friends come to be introduced to his highness!) with them quite effectively. Not as complex as a bath, but I'm not sure how effective it would be for a big mess. If you're okay waiting for the next day, they work well for spot washes!

I often think of my kitty has a bit of a piglet in a catsuit... guess im not the only one
