I have been recently having a spot of bother with cat hair all around the house and on my clothes so I gave the offending cat a really groom with a cat hair brush. it removed allot of fur and I am not sure if it made the cat draw blood or not on its chest. I remember it looking a bit funny (the area around its chest) but carried on brushing the cat.

The next day I was picking up the cat which I normally do and it started meowing as I placed my hand under its chest to pick it up. I then noticed there is like a sticky patch on its chest now and the cat starts acting funny when I touch that area - allot more than usual. There does not look like there is any dried blood stains there though. Could the brush have damaged or hurt its nipple? and if not what is going on? The cat also acts funny if I place it on its back when on my lap - something its not always really keen about but more so now.

The cat is still affectionate towards me and chooses to sit on my lap but as soon as i gently touch it it starts meowing especially on the bottom half of the cat (near top of rear legs and on its underneath)

I was thinking about taking it to the vets but was wondering if should leave it a little while to see if the problem dies down. I was also considering that if I leave it the problem could get worse. So what does anyone think Ii should do?

I think you should take the cat in right away because it sounds like something else might be going on besides the brushing - and even if you scraped her with the brush, it can get infected really fast and will still need fixing.

The cat is also acting funny towards food too!

I think I will take my cat to the vets to clarify what is going on as I can combine it with getting it some deworming tablets, kneck flea drop stuff and getting my other cats checked out too, with other causes for concern.

Looks like I have Monday all sketched out for me. Great.
