Amber, I really understand the pain that you're in, that feeling of wanting to join them. I'm going through that a lot lately myself, wishing that I could be with Abby or any of my other bridge babies. But I know that it's not time yet, and I have to be here to take care of the others, to make sure that Whisper doesn't lose his mind, or that Reagan gets her daily dose of petting.

I believe in reincarnation, hon. Molly *looks* so much like Abby (but with a longer nose) that it's almost frightening. I told DH when I first saw her that I'd seen a ghost. I've also never known a feral cat to progress as quickly as she is, as though she knew us before she arrived. And she seemingly came out of nowhere.

Could she be Abby reincarnated? Maybe, who knows. Maybe Abby sent her here to us. Whatever is the truth, I really feel that she's watching us from across the bridge, not only waiting for us to come home, but looking out for us, too.

It's like that for Glitch, too.

Aww My Heart goes out to you and I can assure you its not any easier when there 19.
I just lost my Boy Mickey to Kidney Disease he was 19 that was just a few weeks ago,
I can only tell you that it does get easier I know what it feels like but I have no idea how you are feeling.
I hope that you know that if you could have done anything else for him I am sure you would have, sometimes we just can't.
I will be thinking of you at this time because your beautiful Baby Boy is safe and Happy and Healthy at the Bridge Maybe my big boy Mickey was there to take care of him..
RIP Little Boy and know how much your Mommy misses you

It turns out he was only 5 months old! It does seem to be getting easier as the days go on, but seeing him in my dreams helped the one night. The worst part is BooBoo is losing his mind. He cant handle it. He wont eat, wont drink wont do anything! I cant make it better no matter what I do! I tried giving him cat nip hoping he would get the munchies but that didn't work *lol* and now he wont even eat the baby food that he loves so much! I dont want him to die cuz of a broken heart but I can't get him a friend for another 8 weeks! (thats how long they say you have to wait after having one die of fip)

We acquired Nadette only 6 weeks after losing Smudge - and that was after we tested the other 2 cats in the house. IMO FIP isn't as contagious as was once believed. You might want to PM Hissy - she's gone to a conference and everything.

As far as reincarnation-type stuff, I seriously believe my current Smudge was sent to my by former Smudge. And to prove it, they even have the same birthday a year apart. It's a VERY interesting story...

Well just as I thought the crying was over, it wasn't! I MISS HIM!! ! I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITHOUT HIM!!! I know the pain is suppose to go away in time but geezz this is so hard. Its like I lost a child! You never think when you get a baby, any kind of baby weather it be fur or skin head, that you would ever have to say goodbye for good. That just never crossed my mind.

It's really really hard for a couple of weeks. Be gentle with yourself.

you did the best you could for him, & he's happy & healthy, now... & the pain doesn't go away, altho it does get easier. but it's only been a few days for you - you're expecting it to get better faster than possible

You are a star to have survived this loss so well and your Boo. Our hearts go out to you and we do know how devastating it can be. I'm sure our little Freddie RIP
who we lost under similar circumstances in 2003 (and this led me to TCS) will watch over him up there!!
((((Hugs))))

Peace & Light to you,
Elizabeth

Thank you! I just hope he's playing happily and not sitting there worried about me! I think that was the reason he held on for so long, he was worried about losing me! Most cats just dont live that long with FIP, He lasted 5 weeks after his belly swelled but since he was sick his whole life they think thats what he had from the start! He was such a good kitty, never worrying about himself! I hope he is happy...

I'm so sorry for your loss of your baby boy. I know he's watching over you now and just wanting you to be happy. He's free from any pain and suffering now and knew that he was loved, that's all that matters now. Rest in peace precious Glitch.
