she has finaly started physically healing from her ordeal, but the memories for her are still raw. Lastnite I had to bring a 8 week old bunny home as it is blind and I already have a rabbit and know how to care for and protect rabbits. and as soon as Stitch saw her she has decided the bunny is one of her missing kittens and has taken to trying to carry the bunny off and is trying to get the bunny to nurse, and when the bunny wont she crys and calls, it is heartbreaking to hear. the vet told me that the bunny might help her as I have not had any luck finding anyone that needs a surogate mom. I am hoping

Glad to hear Stitch is healing well. One thing to try is a small stuffed animal. Like a Ty Beanie Baby if you can find one. We had a feral we spay/aborted about a day before birth and I gave her a beanie baby. She carted that around, washed it, and cared for it like it was a kitten. She would chew on it when it didn't nurse. The good thing is, when her hormones settle, so should her Mom instincts.
