Cat eats my hair :-\

She's just telling you she loves you. If you had another cat, this behavior would probably be transferred to it instead of your head. Trinity did that to me before we got Bentley.

Haha, I know the feeling. And if you have long hair, waking up with it all knotted up with kitty slobber in it is really no fun. I really don't know of a way you could break her from this behavior either. If it bothers your gf, then maybe she could try spraying her hair at night with some of that sour apple spray. I am not sure if this would be any better then having a cat in your hair though, I am sure that stuff can be sticky. Cat's don't like it though and you might find that if she does this for a few nights, your kitten will learn that hair is not a good toy!
my kitten only loves my hair when it's wet. if i didn't know better i would think i'd washed my hair with catnip!
my cat slinky is the same way! she climbs up my back to get to my head, i thought she was weird, guess not

My cats LOVE to lick and chew on our hair. Especially Taco and Lieutenant Bear. Their favorite time to do it is around 3 AM when we're trying to sleep!
Forrest is a "hair" boy. I have long hair that I put in a sort-of bun on the top of my head to sleep. At around 5 am every morning I wake up to him chewing on the bun and the stray hairs sticking out.
I've tried to break him of this habit but to no avail. I've just started keeping an old scarf by my bedside that I put over the top of my head when he starts chewing. It's not very attractive, but it's probably kept my hair from getting a lot of damage. When I was young I had a Main Coon that would chew on my hair when I slept. It really broke off my hair and did a lot of damage (the cat saliva affects the protein in the hair shaft). My hairdresser at the time told me that it was a common complaint.
