Newbie to the Neighborhood

Hi Everyone! I'm a newbie all the way around with my kitties - Fluffy and Sammy. Fluffy is an 7 month old Balinese, and Sammy is 9 months Siamese. I love them! They give me so much happiness and laughs! I got Sammy before Fluffy. I wasn't sure if I wanted 1 or 2 cats and kitties to boot. I haven't had any animals for over 10 years. Now, I wonder why not! i look forward each day to get home and play with them. My vet says I spoil them Of course!

Would share with me a good way to give pills?

As for your question about giving your cats pills...it can be a real struggle! Hissy (one of the Mod's on here) told me about a pill gun. She told me that I could get one at my Vet's office, but my Vet didn't have those...so Hissy mailed me one instead. It looks like a syringe with a rubber thingy (nice term, huh?) on the end of it. You put the pill in the end with the rubber thingy and when you get the cats mouth open, you insert the syringe in the back of their mouth. Then you push the end of it and the pill shoots right down their throat. It was a lifesaver when I got mine! It's WAY too hard to get the pill down when you try to do with just your fingers...plus if you cat is anything like mine, those chompers tend to hurt when they come clamping down your fingers!

Thank you all for your warm welcome! Yes, I'm still up at this hour playing with my PC.. installing a router with Sammy's and Fluffy's help! The pill syringe sounds great! Fluffy is a sweetheart and I can give her pill `reasonably' well. Sammy on the other hand, bolts from me. He tosses his head every which way and spits it out! I have to laugh at times. How do you insert pictures?
