So my SO had an accident with a candle. He threw a DVD case on top of a cabinet and knocked oversome candles. The flame went out but the candle wax has dripped all over my dark brown carpet!!!! It's about and inch wide and about 1.5feet long!!! I don't know how to get it out, has anyone got any tips?

Watching the robins sing!
Try and remove as much of the thick, dried wax by hand, as possible. Put absorbant paper towels over the wax and iron over the paper towels. The wax will melt and should be absorbed into the paper towels. Repeat as needed!

Careful about ironing carpet. You may melt the carpet!

I recomment applying ice and freezing the wax and then scraping it with the back of a butter knife to remove it. If you want to try the ironing bit, do it in the corner of a closet or some place not really noticable to make sure your carpet can withstand being ironed. If you melt the carpet it's hidden

I just picked at it once it cooled. It took a while but I got most of it out so nobody notices it.
