I ran across a large feral colony of cats at a park in Columbus Texas (west of Houston) this weekend. There are a few locals feeding them but it's a burden on them. I really don't have a clue how to get them any help. Some need a vet, some need neutered, some are very friendly and just need a home, some are beyond help.

Here's a photo gallery I put togather of these cats: CLICK_HERE

I did a google search... This might help you out some in taking care of the cats, though that is one *large* colony!

You might want to think about seeing if some of the locals can share the cost of taking care of these cats. Of course I always think that it's a good idea to work on socialization and possible adoption for the kitties as well, like we're doing with Face.

DH and I have recently given a forever home to a feral, and might be giving a home to a stray as well, if nobody comes forward to claim him.
