Ok if God didn't make everything then why can't science recreate a human from the dust/dirt? Oh wait ----- let science create the DUST first before he creates the man out of the dust
It's a good thing evolution doesn't postulate that a starfish turns into a lion or that grass comes from nothing, because those are obviously flawed hypotheses. What it does say is that over a long long time, seemingly miniscule changes in a species gradually add up to a point where something is recognizably a slightly different species. Over time, things that are vastly different than each other, but if one thing did spontaneously become something completely different, it would disprove evolution.
As for what did humans evolve from... here's just a few of the ancestors in the tree, and their fossil evidence http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/homs/specimen.html Rest of the site isn't too bad at answering the questions raised by this thread, either.
