I got Taj 1 month and 3 days ago. He was my 1st pet in my life. He was great. I actually wanted a cat, but got a kitten instead. I don't regret it. He was the best kitten in the world. I started to feel gulity about leaving Taj on his own at home...even when I got home, I didn't have the energy/attention for him because I was consumped with work and school. He went from being a 'lap kitten' to the typical playful/energetic kitten, which was great. It meant he was "normal". I started to feel guilty for my lack of attention.

Today I gave him away to a loving family who could give him so much more attention. They are a good family of 5 young children. He will have a house to roam around in instead of a 1 bedroom condo. I don't regret giving him up to a good family; however, I'm just sitting here...missing the sound of his little collar bell....and missing him runnig around and jumping on the couch...and playing with his little ball. My place seems so quiet all of a sudden. I miss him.
I'm not in tears. I know he has found a better place. He is the only pet according to the father. I met the entire family and they seem like good people...I can tell...it's a gut feeling. The father said he will send me an email and let me know how Taj adjusts to his new enviornment.

I will be okay. It's just going to be a little difficult tonight when I try to go to sleep because I'm use to him purring beside me while we lay in bed.

I miss you baby, but I know I did the right thing.

Doing the right thing can be so hard sometimes, can't it? It was a gut feeling that these people were the right people for Taj and I believe in listening to our intuition. Let us know when you hear from the family and take good care of yourself.

Sweetheart you did what you thought was best for your little kitten. PUtting his needs ahead of yours shows what a kind and considerate person you are.

Oh, I'm so sorry, but what a wonderful person you are to put your baby's needs before your own - what better definition of love can there be?
