If this is the wrong place to post please move to the right place please.

I received a call to come home my mother is very ill.

Well I came to Port Huron MI to find my mother incapable of taking care of herself and longer and refusing to go to a home because no one will take care of her cats.

The cats are beautiful 2 males (not neutered) orange tiger looking, they have no tails and look like bob cats. They are appx 1.5 years old and BIG for their age. one is short hair and other longer. I tried to get a picture of them but they have been alone with my mom for so long they are afraid of others.

My husband and I will only be here a couple more days and being a cat lover I would love to take them home but that is unrealistic
I have 6 cats already and some with expensive medical problems.

Any one have any idea how I can find these beautiful cats a good home? quickly? honestly they look like botcats their faces and markings.

any ideas would be appreciated I don'twant to see them taken to the dog pound

Menou - go to Petfinder.com and search no-kill rescues in the Port Huron and/or Northern Suburbs of the Detroit area. SE Michigan unfortunately is overrun with unwanted kitties. I don't know if WE have any room in our group, which is quite small.

Also, in doing this with any of the rescue groups, things can be expedited if your mom has current vet paperwork - so the rescuers know whether the cats have to be quarantined for health reasons or what they might need in terms of vaccines, etc.

They sound like really handsome boys - manxes possibly with the stubby tail and bobcat looks.

You can PM me and we can talk privately.

Also, Menou, if you could, post photos.

And I understand completely about your mom. I had to move in with mine, as I felt it was unsafe for her to live alone. Good thing I have an understanding boyfriend!!
