I just introduced Lucy Belle to Wellness Kitten Formula can food and she absolutely LOVES it. The can label says that for kitten under 20 weeks old, I should let her eat all she wants. Lucy Belle is a little over 5 weeks old and she can gobble up the whole 3oz can during feeding. I feed her three to four times a day plus a free feeding of EVO Cat and Kitten Dry food. Is she eating too much or is that just her growing up quickly?

I usually let kittens free feed on dry and canned for the first couple of months (up to 4 months old). Then start them on a twice a day feeding.

That's a LOT for a small kitten, but I would just let her eat what she wants. She should be checked for worms tho; that can cause her to eat more and not really gain weight.

Yes, I've had vets give me the advice that kittens should be allowed to eat as much as they want.
