That's interesting, Laurie! But, huff, puff, I ran the whole way over here from the lounge to finish reading it. I was in the middle of the story when you moved it, and now I'm all worn out! Holy Cow! Rearranging their bones, huh? Hmmm....

Thats a really interesting theory, but if they are 'rearranging' their bones while they are resting, why dont they purr while they are sleeping? My cats only purr when I am loving on them and I have never felt them purr while sleeping. Just my 2 cents.

I remember hearing and reading things on why cats purr a couple years back. It's always really interesting. That was a good article. I know some cats, after being hit by a car (and they are still alive) when the owner picks it up to bring it to the vet, the cat is actually puring!

I've known a lot of sick kittens who will also purr more often when they are really sick too. Maybe it is also a means to heal.

Laurie, The whole story was interesting. I was teasing you because you posted it the day you became a mod.
Actually the bone density part was very enlightening. Of course, "putting their bones back together" was presented as a legend.
