Inspired by another thread........

This is how my critters allow me to relax at night. This was taken last night:

Left to right: Spike, Sam, Spanky, Pinky, Dakota, Eightball and Oscar. Bob was asleep on the floor in front of the sofa.

And a few days ago. At least I got to get part of a leg stretch out that night!

That's Sam, Spike and Dakota.

And I often fall asleep on the sofa at night under a pile of 'em. Can't disturb the sleeping beauties, can we?

What is twisted about us, is that we bought the sofa cause A) the arm rests would be great for the cats (and it is), and B) you can flip the pillows up along the back to pack in more critters (and you can).

They know that I sit on the sofa at night. There are times I walk over there and have to physically move a few of them over just to get some butt space. Sam and Spike are so heavy that I just sort of flip them around to fit in. Stumpy growls at me when I try to move him. Spanky is the worst. I swear he gains about 50 pounds once he climbs on top of me. And once on top, he doesn't move if you try to get up.

Then there is Scarlett: sweet, little 7 pound queen. She demands that others move over when she comes for lovin. She'll just push them away to get to my lap then demands that I cuddle her in close. What a little princess!

Oh yeah, who could forget Muddy? When he decides to join me, which isn't that often, will stand on my chest and nibble my nose if I stop petting him.

I guess you really can't relax in a house of cats, eh?

It actually looks pretty good to me! My girls are snooty-snoots who are too good to come cuddle with me.

Too cute! I wish my crew could be that peaceful...usually someone decides that they want to play, or they wan't someone else's spot and before you know it, there's a kitty tussle happening in my lap.

It's the added dog factor that really takes away all the lounging room here.

You asked how we relax at home in your other thread - I had to show you how I do it!

Now THAT is what I call a really smart way to conserve energy in the wintertime.
