Points for Rhyme or Reason!

Thread Starter
Ok, I've got too many points, and I want to give them to people who need or want them. I will give away 200 points at a time. With no Rhyme nor Reason as to who will get them, if you post in this thread with a Rhyme (two or more words) or a Reason (why you want them) you are eligible. I will keep giving points till I am down to a somewhat manageable level! You are eligible to get the donation more than once so feel free to do it as many times as you want.

Have fun guys!

Bonus points may be available at periodic times!

From one of my favorite poems and my little girls too..

'Ickle me, Pickle me, and Tickle me Too'
A poem by Shel Silverstein

When ever I shout out 'Ickle me, pickle me'.... my girls shout back 'tickle me' and either wait to be tickled or run away for me to chase them to tickle them.

cute kitty poem!!!

PLEASE dont call me FLUFFY!!!

Of all the names in the world,
why did you have to call me that?
Recall the tale of a boy named Sue,
well now you done it to your cat.

I can understand when we first met,
I was little and pretty with lots of hair.
You thought, "Ah yes, we'll call him Fluffy."
But can't you see that wasn't fair?

Now I've grown into a big tough tom,
you see it doesn't suit me much.
I'm the laughing stock of the alleys,
you know you should have called me Butch.

I know I'm not the only one
had this burden on them fall.
So please remember when you choose...
We don't all stay fluffy, cute and small!

When you have a cat and a cat has you
Nothing but the very best will do
If you give us points from TCS
We'll share them with others -- that's the best!

a poem for those who lost a loved one.....

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there I do not sleep.

I am in a thousand winds that blow
I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain,
I am the fields of ripening grain.

I am in the morning hush,
I am in the graceful rush
Of beautiful birds in circling flight,
I am the starshine of the night.

I am in the flowers that bloom,
I am in a quiet room.
I am the birds that sing
I am in each gentle thing.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there. I did not die.

im having to much fun! hehe

Sami's Last time out!!!

In our garden is a tree,
A fir by name and certainly not wee!
Along came Sami, my "ginger pest",
To climb the giant was his main quest.

Up upon the branch he leapt,
Initially proving quite adept,
But fright set in at about six feet
He hadn't realised it was so steep.

Instead of calling it a day,
He climbed and climbed up all the way,
From thirty feet up he sat and cried,
His poor old "Mum" could just have died!

The authorities said give it 24 hours,
He'll get fed up, we're due for showers,
But by this time it began to pour,
And the little kitten climbed even more.

To the rescue came a local man,
A ladder accompanying him, as he ran,
Up he climbed, grabbed little Sami by the collar,
Goodness did he meow and holler!

Was I pleased he was back upon the ground,
Soaking wet, but safe and sound,
From this minute on he is staying in!
He's banned, no matter how loud the din!!

There once was a girl named Jill
She was so mean until someome gave her a pill
She ate that pill sitting beside Bill
He said "Come on Jill be still"
She laughed so loud it sounded like a squeal
And then she went and had a big meal.

Fall Ballet
In fall the leaves are dancing
In the newly cool, crisp breeze,
Tumbling, skipping, flipping,
As they throw themselves from trees.
Twirling, whirling dancers,
Give performances each day,
Floating gracefully to earth,
In a circular ballet.
And as they land together,
Making not a sound,
They form a comfy quilt,
For the hardening winter ground.

Love is a feeling of tenderness and care.
Love is a feeling of kindness that will always be there.
If you ever fall in love please beware, because love can be a matter of deceit and despair.

I wrote that when I was like 15 or so. Ya know, raging hormones.

Historical Rhyme 1:

In honor of Guy Fawkes Night!

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.

Historical (if not actually accurate) Rhyme 2:

Lizzie Borden took an axe
And gave her mother forty whacks,
And when she saw what she had done
She gave her father forty-one.

A Rhyme
Pussy cat , pussy cat , where have you been?

I've been to London to visit the queen.

Pussy cat , pussy cat , what did you there?

I frightened a little mouse under the chair, !

Okay well, this isn't *technically* a poem, and I surely do not need *any* points, but it's one of my favorite sayings, and to me it's so beautiful that.. regardless of the fact that it doesn't rhyme, it's still a poem. (if people only lived a day inside my mind my logic would make a lot more sense)

This is not the whole version.. it's only a portion.

Teach your children
what we have taught our children -
that the earth is our mother.
Whatever befalls the earth
befalls the sons and daughters of the earth.
If men spit upon the ground
they spit upon themselves.

This we know.
The earth does not belong to us;
we belong to the earth.
This we know.
All things are connected
like the blood which connects one family.
All things are connected.

Whatever befalls the earth
befalls the sons and daughters of the earth.
We did not weave the web of life;
We are merely a strand in it.
Whatever we do to the web,
we do to ourselves.

Cats sleep, anywhere
Any table, any chair
Top of piano, window-ledge
In the middle, on the edge
Open drawer, empty shoe
Anybody's lap will do
Fitted in a cardboard box
In the cupboard, with your frocks
Anywhere! They don't care!
Cats sleep anywhere

Reason: Gifts

Of points I really have no need --
I've plenty of them, truly.
But rhyming I cannot resist,
So this thread tempts me cruelly!

I am no Kipling, Burns, or Frost
Nor even Mother Goose;
I cannot rival Ogden Nash,
Or the late, great Dr. Seuss.

But now and then and here and there
Words tend to tumble out
In rhythmic rhymes of foolish fun...
That's all I am about.

Not poetry, but doggerel
Is what I write, you see --
I hope to win a smile or two,
But send no points to me!

Ms. McTwitter the baby-sitter
I think she is a little bit crazy.
She thinks a baby-sitter
Is supposed to sit upon the baby

His meowmy always told him "NO"

He knocked off a glass,
Fell on ......the grass (HA!)
He landed on his feet

Gave him scritches hugs and a kiss
