chilli's purple tail

hi all i'm back with yet anothery.....

chilli has a broken tail, we are waiting to see if it needs to be removed or not.
the vet is hoping the nerves will come back but its looking a bit 'funky' now. he has taken the fur off in places and the end seems very slim and a dark purple red.

i've also just noticed (1st time he's let me get as close to his leg) EXTREME bruising! his whole right back leg is BLACK!!! and kind of hard, like a scab - please see "chilli not peeing" for injuries.

he gets around ok and doesn't seem to be in as much pain but his tail is very flacid.

any thoughts? thanks

If I were you, I'd be taking that baby to another vet! If the leg that's turning black is the same one that was broken, he probably has no circulation, thus the black color is dead tissue aka gangrene. He needs something done NOW or he could die from blood poisoning. He may not be showing you signs of pain...but he has to be having plenty! Please PLEASE, find another vet that will help him!

Honestly, I'd certainly want another vet too. Poor baby.
