Hi Group!
I've been visiting off and on for about 2 weeks now, and just wanted to say hello, and introduce myself. I'm Geri, and my two "babies" are Patches and Pesty. Pesty actually started out life with hubby and I with a different name (Boots), but after getting to know him better, we quickly discovered that Pesty was a much more fitting name!
Patches was born in the summer of 2001. I got her in the fall from hubbies dad just after moving in to our first home. I wanted a calico so bad! She was an outside kitten.....my "garage sale kitty" I call her.
She has been my best friend ever since she came to live with me. She is where ever I am, and at night she races me to the recliner to sit on my lap. She's a talker, and as hubby says, "she's a little princess!"
Pesty came to us I guess around February of this year. Someone had dropped off a puppy in our yard, and we were keeping him out in an insulated room in our barn. Hubby was out checking on the puppy, and heard a "meow" behind him. He looked and saw this scruffy looking red and white kitty in the barn. Pretty soon Pesty was rubbing on his legs, begging for attention. Next thing I know I see hubby at the patio door holding a kitty, saying "can we keep him honey?" Pesty has been with us ever since. He is a very thankful kitty, and lets us know everyday just how happy he is to be inside with food to eat. He loves to be pet, and looks for a little "lovin" whenever you are around. Just like Patches...........he is where you are! We figured when we got him that he was about 6 months old. He's still quite playful, and annoys Patches on a daily basis! And as you can also tell by the pictures.......he's just a goofy cat!
Patches and Pesty..........formerly known as Prince and Princess........making themselves comfy in our new house! We just moved, and trust me, they've already taken over!
The other love of my life.........my miniature horse gelding named I Spot Trouble.
